Amanda McNutt, MA, CCC-SLP

Amanda McNutt is the owner and therapist at Cornerstone Speech Services. She is a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist who has been working in the Sacramento area for about five years. She received her Bachelors and Masters degrees from CSU, Chico, graduating in 2009. Since graduating, she has worked in a multitude of settings including schools, private practice, outpatient, acute hospital setting, skilled nursing, and home health. She has worked with all ages from 17 months old - 100+ years of age. Amanda has worked with various disorders affecting speech, language, fluency, articulation, cognition, social/pragmatic skills, swallowing, voice, and oral motor development. Amanda absolutely loves her career as a Speech Pathologist but more importantly, she enjoys spending time with her two daughters and dogs, Hope and Lucy.

In addition to Amanda's experience diagnosing and treating various speech, language and articulation disorders, she has received specialized training in the following areas:

Orofacial Myology: The treatment of oral and facial muscles as they relate to speech, dentition, chewing/bolus collection, swallowing, and overall mental and physical health.

Hanen "More Than Words": A program designed for parents of children ages 5 and under on the autism spectrum and with other social communication difficulties.

Lee Silverman Voice Therapy (LSVT): An effective treatment for individuals with Parkinson's Disease and other neurological conditions.

Claire Aleck, M.S., CFY-SLP

Claire is Speech-Language Pathologist in her clinical fellowship year. This is her first year working at Cornerstone Speech Services, Inc. Claire attended the University of Toledo for her undergraduate studies and recently graduated from Ohio State University with her Master’s Degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders. She enjoys being active; whether it be playing tennis or kayaking on a nice day. Claire is very close with her family and enjoy spending time with friends. She is also passionate about art, music, and travel. Claire is so excited about starting her career with Cornerstone!

Emma Fox, B.A., SLPA

Emma has been with Cornerstone Speech Services since May of 2020. She graduated from CSU, Sacramento in 2018 with her Bachelor’s degree in Communication sciences and disorders. She then obtained her SLPA certification in the fall of 2018. Emma is very passionate about the field of speech language pathology and is always striving to provide top notch therapy for her clients and their families. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, most importantly her son. She enjoys the outdoors, gardening, camping, and watching movies.


Monica Stone, SLP-A

Monica Stone has been with Cornerstone Speech Services since December 2021. Monica received her Associate of Science in Speech-Language Pathology Assisting from American River College. She is currently pursuing her Bachelor’s Degree from Abilene Christian University. Her dream is to become a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist and to continue working with the pediatric population.

Above all, Monica enjoys spending time with her husband and four children. Monica loves all things outdoors such as hiking, exploring, camping, and fishing.


Love Nelson, Administrative Assistant

Love Nelson works as an administrative assistant here at Cornerstone Speech Services. Love’s educational background consists of degrees in the areas of early childhood development, music, social sciences, and liberal arts. She previously owned and ran a childcare center.

Love is a Sacramento County local. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two children. She is very active in her church and community.
